HANOI, NOVEMBER 15 (Engineering Daily) -- HCMC Urban Railway PMU has held the consultation about development of station area along Metro line No. 3a section Ben Thanh – Tan Kien.
The study of proposal for development of station area along Metro line No. 3a is under framework of study and survey activities preparing for construction of HCMC urban railway Metro line No. 3a aided by JICA.
In the consultation, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) have clarified the roles of urban development model associating with the public transport hubs.
This model will bring many benefits such as accelerating the pace of urban development along the route; providing transit service and promoting the use of urban rail system.
Through field surveys, the consultant JST proposed development along the urban railway for 4 clusters as city central, complex, suburban and suburb cluster.
Notably, the consultant JST has warned to consider the capital resource mobilization for Metro line No. 3a under PPP model in order to diversify funding sources.
