(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = The Vietnamese government has made advance arrangements for a project to build highways in the southern part of the country.

According to local sources on Tuesday, Vietnam's Transport Ministry recently completed a feasibility study on the highway project linking Tien Jiang and the Dong Thap.

The project is to build a 28㎞ section into four lanes and expand it to six lanes.

The Vietnamese government estimates about $237 million will be spent on related projects, with construction to begin in 2021 and to be completed by 2025.

The project will be carried out through public funds, and is expected to help disperse traffic in the surrounding areas after completion.
