(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong reporter = The highway project linking northern Vietnam is expected to become visible.

According to a local source, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has signed off on the highway project linking Ho Chi Minh City with Moc Bai.

The Ho Chi Minh-Moc Bai highway project will cost about $460 million, with $344 million spent on the 33㎞ section linking Trang Bang and Ho Chi Minh and two sections of the Tang Bang-Moc Bai 20.5㎞ section.

Ho Chi Minh City plans to complete the ongoing feasibility study by next year, with construction to begin in 2021 and aim to complete it by 2025, the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the two Koreas.

Accordingly, the government expects that if related projects become visible, the road to Cambodia, which has been suffering from chronic congestion, will be able to open its doors to economic revitalization in the northern region.
