Samsung Electronics to break ground on Vietnam's largest R&D center

(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = Samsung Electronics has begun building the largest R&D center in Vietnam.

Samsung Electronics Co. and Vietnam said on May 5 that they broke ground on the largest R&D center in Southeast Asia in the new Hanoi Day Ho Day city on May 3.

The project, which will cost a total of $220million, will be built on 11,603 ㎡ of land with a floor space of 79,511㎡.

Samsung Electronics is under the new plan to complete the project by 2022, and expects that it will be able to expand its influence in Southeast Asian markets as well as expand investment in Vietnam by developing technologies in high-tech industries such as AI, IoT, big data and 5G.
