(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = The Vietnamese government said on May 16 that the highway project scheduled to be built in Thanh Hoa province is awaiting parliamentary approval of the budget.

The newly promoted project is a highway project linking Hoang Hoa and Sam Son 10.5㎞ and Quang Zhuong and Tinh Gia 14.5㎞.

The two projects are expected to cost US$132 million and will run on a private-sector basis for about 23 years.

The Vietnamese government expects to spend an additional $60 million, along with $14.7 million already planned for business investment, if congressional approval is completed.

The company also plans to receive the rest of the project through private investment, and expects the construction to begin as early as 2023.
