Vietnamese government approves $2 billion budget for development of Mekong Delta

(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = The Vietnamese government begins full-scale development of the Mekong River Delta.

According to local sources, Vietnam's Ministry of Planning and Investment has set aside $2 billion for the development of the Mekong River Delta.

The new budget is being executed for about five years and has been under the Vietnamese prime minister's proposal.

As a result, investment in highway and railway projects centered around related areas is expected to begin in earnest.

In particular, the highway project linking Ca Maau, Bac Lieu and Can Tho is expected to begin with the aim of completing it by 2025.
