HCM Metro line 1’s rail tracks to be started to install

HANOI, October 24 (Engineering Daily) -- On 24th October 2017, the Urban Railway Management Board of HCM City commenced the construction and installation of the railway system under Package 3 of Metro Line1 Project (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) at Phuoc Long railway station site and the viaduct section from Phuoc Long station to Binh Thai station.

In the year 2013, the Management Board selected the contractor and signed contract with Hitachi (Japan) to implement Package No.3 to purchase electromechanical equipment, locomotives, coaches, rail track and maintenance.

At present, the contractor has completed the technical design of most sub-items and is conducting production and procurement to put into construction and installation of the railway system.
