(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong reporter = Large-scale underground space development is carried out in Hanoi, Vietnam.

According to local sources on Wednesday, the Vietnamese city of Hanoi has selected a business operator for the development of a Ben Thanh subway history-linked trade center.

The Ben Thanh subway history-linked trade center development project calls for the construction of 21,500 square meters and 18,100 square meters of trade center on or below the first floor of Ben Thanh's subway history.

Ho Chi Minh City says the Toshin-Nikken Sejje-Osaka Chikagai Consortium has been selected as the operator for related projects, and the development will be completed and put into full operation by the end of 2021, when the Metro No. 1 line will be fully operational.

On the current total project costs, JICA, the Japanese international cooperation body, expects to be around $365.22 million, of which $216.52 million will be ODA funds and $14,826 million will be injected into Ho Chi Minh City's finances.
