Vietnam's transport ministry said Thursday that it has announced a local PQ-passing company for cross-border highway projects.
The PQ results were announced in the eastern region for the Ngi Son-Dien Chau section and the Dien Chau-Bai Vot section.
In the case of the Nghi Son-Dien Chau section, the Hoa Hief Consortium and Tan Nam Consortium passed the PQ to prepare for the main bidding.
In the case of the Dien Chau-Bai Vot section, the Hoa Hief Consortium, the Vinaconex Consortium and a consortium of local companies are said to have passed.
As a result, competition for the $364.35 million project is expected to start in earnest.
The Vietnamese government plans to inject $111.87 million of the money invested in related projects, while the rest of the funds will be financed by combining PPP and BOT methods.
