(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = Additional subways are expected to be built in Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital.
According to local sources in Vietnam, Hanoi City Council approved the construction of two subway lines.
Newly approved routes are lines 3 and 5, which aim to connect with lines 2 and 4 and 8.
In the case of Line 3, Hoang Maiga and Hanoi Central Station will be connected, and in the case of Line 5, Van Cao and Hoa Lac will be connected, with the total extension of Line 3 to 8.7㎞, seven stations, and in the case of Line 5, 21 stations will be set up for section 38.43㎞.
The Vietnamese government is expected to complete the project by 2028 and 2025, respectively, with a total of $1.71 billion for Line 3 and $2.77 billion for Line 5.
