(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is expanding.
According to a local source in Vietnam, the Vietnamese government approved Hanoi's high-tech eco-friendly area plan.
The project is to develop a 17,300-ha new town in the Hoa Lac area.
The Vietnamese government expects to reduce the overcrowding in Hanoi by attracting 150,000 people in 2025 and 600,000 in 2030.
The new Hoa Lac city will also attract new technology industries along with residential areas such as eco-friendly, smart and technology areas.
