HANOI, NOVEMBER 28 (Engineering Daily) -- Nearly 200 km of expressway Dong Nai – Lam Dong is planned to be taken into operation in 2021.
The expressway Dau Giay – Lien Khuong project (from Dong Nai to Lam Dong province) that is nearly 200 km long, will be divided into 3 components with total investment of more than VND 55,000 billion. In which, the component 1 section Dau Giay – Tan Phu is planned to start at the end of 2017 under BOT model.
The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has approved the proposal of Component 1 to build the expressway Dau Giay – Tan Phu (under the expressway Dau Giay – Lien Khuong) along 59.6 km and total capital of more than VND 14,650 billion.
The project investment is separated into 2 stages. The stage 1 with capital of nearly VND 8,000 billion is to construct 4-lane expressway with limited speed of 80 km/h. The stage 2 is to complete the 4-lane expressway, design permissible speed of 100-120 km/h with total investment of nearly VND 6,700 billion. According to the schedule, the project will be started in the Quarter IV of 2017, under BOT model without support fund of State and is planned to finish in 2020.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lam, Deputy General Director of PMU1 (MOT) said that the MOT will approve the expressway Dau Giay – Tan Phu project in December, after approval, the PMU will finalize the bidding documents and publish to the investors for expression of interest.
The Component 2 section Tan Phu – Bao Loc that is 66 km long with total investment of more than VND 17,260 billion, will be implemented with ODA loans. As estimated, ODA loan is of VND 14,300 billion and the government counterpart fund of VND 2,300 billion.
The Component 3 section Bao Loc – Lien Khuong that will be built along 73 km with investment of more than VND 23,000 billion will be invested under the form of BOT contract with support fund from the State to ensure the feasibility.
The Component 2 and Component 3 is planned to start in 2018 and finish in 2021. Therefore, nearly 200 km of expressway linking Dong Nai to Lam Dong province will be taken into operation in 2021.
