HANOI, June 1 (Engineering Daily) -- The People's Committee of Dong Thap province has proposed the Ministry of Transport to invest in the My An - Cao Lanh road with a total investment of VND 3,300 billion.

The My An - Cao Lanh highway investment project is a part of Central Mekong Delta Region Connectivity Project. In the Central Mekong Delta Region Connectivity Project, Cao Lanh Bridge and the route linking Cao Lanh Bridge to Vam Cong Bridge was put into use on May 27, 2018; Vam Cong Bridge is expected to be completed and put into use this year. Particularly from the An Binh intersection, Highway 30 to My An town has not been invested, so the connection with N2 route to HCM City and vice versa is not synchronous and very difficult to travel.

The HCMC-N2 (Duc Hoa-Cao Lanh-Long Xuyen-Rach Gia) road that belongs to the main axis of northeast – southwest, will be invested in, upgraded and built to improve the regional traffic system, linking national highways, provincial roads and urban areas together. Therefore, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province requested the Ministry of Transport to consider and invest in the project of My An - Cao Lanh highway connecting to the N2.
