Manila, October 16 (Engineering Daily) --  A number of mega projects in Negros Oriental are gaining headway.

The regional governor of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry(PCCI) and former head of the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry(NOCCI) Edward Du identified that these projects to be the international seaport, airport, and Eco-zone, all in Bacong town, and the bridges that will link Negros, Cebu, Bohol and Leyte(NECEBOLEY) project.

RDC has approved three projects in Bacong and the region is awaiting funds from concerned government agencies: the Department of Transportation(DOTr) for the airport, the Philippine Ports Authority(PPA) for the international seaport, and the National Economic and Development Authority(NEDA) for the Ecozone.

Meanwhile, an additional call center is scheduled to open here on November 15.

The call center in Bagacay is the 5th largest of 25 Business Process Outsourcing (BPOs) companies throughout the province. Additionally, two hospitals are to be opened before this year and PHP500 million convention center is to be built nearby the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.
