Hanoi, November 23 (Engineering Daily) -- The Bases Conversion and Development Authority(BCDA) has bidded for the operations and maintenance(O&M) of Clark International Airport and two consortiums have submitted to be candidates.
Last April, BCDA opened bidding for the O&M of the Clark airport and quite a few firms across the world expressed interest in the sales. For instance, Malaysia Airports Holdings, and Zurich Airport of Switzerland are of the interested companies but currently two consortiums submitted proposals and have been being considered.
The two consortiums are X-Droid and North Luzon Airport. The consortiums are separately comprised of Indonesia's Angkasa Pura Ⅱ, Globalport 900, Mazy Capital, and Desco and Changi Airport Philippines Pte. Ltd., Filinvest Development Corp., JG Summit Holdings, Inc. and Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions, Inc..
The selected consortium is obliged to manage and operate the airport's existing terminal and the new terminal building to be constructed. Specifically, it should develop commercial activities and rental contracts including air cargo, in-flight catering, and overhaul services.
Meanwhile, the winning bidder will be announced by this December.
