(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = CMSC(The Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises) has sent a document to MOT(the Ministry of Transport) on the proposal to assign ACV(Airports Corporation of Vietnam) to become the sole investor of Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

In Document No.348/UBDLV-CNHT, the CMSC consented to the proposal of the representative of the state capital at ACV and the MoT on the choosing of ACV, which is 95.4 per cent held by the state, as the investor of the construction Terminal T3 project at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
According to Nguyen Thi Phu Ha, vice chairwoman of the CMSC, Tan Son Nhat International Airport is one of the 21 terminals where ACV provides chain services for flight zones, airfields, and passenger terminals.
According to the proposal, ACV would contribute an estimated $497 million from its own capital in 37 months since the approval of the investment policy.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport is currently heavily overloaded. In 2018, the total number of passengers passing through this airport reached more than 38.3 million, including 23.42 million passing through the domestic terminal, exceeding the designed capacity by 1.56 times, and 14.89 million passengers passing through the international terminal, 2.14 times the designed capacity.
Passenger growth at Tan Son Nhat International Airport will remain 10-15 per cent per year until 2020, and then 6-10 per cent through to 2025.
