(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong reporter = The Vietnamese government is expected to map out a strategy to avoid overloading the international airport.
According to local sources on Wednesday, Vietnam's Transport Ministry has officially announced plans to expand the Noi Bai international airport within the third quarter.
The Noi Bai International Airport is located near Hanoi, the capital, and the capacity limit has recently come to an end due to a surge in the number of passengers, such as Tan Son Nhat International Airport, located in Ho Chi Minh City.
As a result, the Vietnamese government was considering expanding the Noi Bai international airport as of 2030.
France's ADPi Corp. has been working on related plans since last June, and the final results are expected to come out in the third quarter, according to reports.
The Vietnamese government expects to share 25 million passengers a year with the construction of the third runway in 2030 when the project to expand the Noi Bai international airport is completed.
The company plans to set up its fourth runway in 2030 to create an era of 90 million passengers per year.
