HANOI, DECEMBER 1 (Engineering Daily) -- HCMC People’s Committee has assigned the Joint venture of Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No. 1-SJC (CIENCO 1), Thaison Group and Tuan Loc Investment and Construction JSC to prepare the proposal of Thu Thiem 3 bridge construction and upgrading Ton Dan street in District 4 under PPP model.
Despite being assigned to research the above projects, it does not mean that these 3 companies will be appointed as investors for the project. The chance will go to other investors.
The bridge will begin at Ton Dan Street in District 4, cross Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, span over the Saigon River, and end at the Thu Thiem New Urban Area in District 2. The HCMC will hold the investor selection to implement the project right after the investment research is completed as per regulation.
According to the planning in period 2016-2020, HCMC will build 4 bridges connecting Thu Thiem New Urban Area. In which, Thu Thiem 1 bridge has completed and taken into operation, Thu Thiem 2 bridge has been executing. The remaining bridges including Thu Thiem 3, Thu Thiem 4 and pedestrian bridge linking District 1 to Thu Thiem have been in investment project preparation.
