HANOI, JANUARY 10 (Engineering Daily) -- The Hoa Binh People’s Committee has proposed to the Prime Minister the Hoa Binh – Son La expressway project under PPP model for approval.
The project is planned to link with Hoa Binh – Hoa Lac expressway with length of 85 km, 4-lane scale, road width of 24.75 m and designed speed of 80 km/h. This aims to connect West Northern provinces with Hanoi, the start point in Trung Minh commune, Ky Son district, Hoa Binh province; end point intersecting with Highway No. 43 at Muong village, Phien Luong commune, Moc Chau district – Moc Chau National Tourism Planning Center.
The total capital of VND 20,864 billion shall be mobilized by investor’s fund and the state budget of provinces of Son La and Hoa Binh. The project shall be constructed within 42 months and the payback period of 26.9 years.
The Hoa Binh province has proposed the Prime Minister to assign People’s Committee of Hoa Binh and Son La provinces to be state authorities responsible in signing contract under PPP model, BOT contract (be able to combine with other models that the project is highly feasible).
The leaders of 2 provinces has committed the site clearance shall be implemented smoothly, facilitating the project execution to get efficiency soon.
The Hoa Binh – Moc Chau expressway will shorten the travelling time from Hanoi to Moc Chau district of 2 hours, not depending on Highway No. 6 anymore; contributing to develop the Moc Chau National Tourism Zone, Son La province and Hoa Binh Lake National Tourism Zone, Hoa Binh province.
