HANOI, May 8 (Engineering Daily) -- Cao Bang province wants to implement soon the construction of expressway from Dong Dang (Lang Son province) to Tra Linh border gate (Cao Bang province) along 144 km with 4 lane scale.
This is one of the content that has been submitted to the Prime Minister related to investments of Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway by Chairman of Cao Bang People’s Committee, Hoang Xuan Anh.
Accordingly, Cao Bang requested the head of the Government to direct the Ministry of Transport to submit to the Prime Minister the addition of the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway to the development planning of the Vietnam Expressway until 2020, with a vision towards 2030 and change the time to implement the route to period of 2017-2020.
Cao Bang suggested the Government to assign the Ministry of Transport (or Cao Bang People's Committee) to be the investor; At the same time to allocate an advanced capital from the central budget to expedite the project investment preparation.
It is noteworthy that Cao Bang's leaders wanted the Prime Minister to direct the Ministry of Planning and Investment to advise the Government on the source of funds for the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project, firstly, a $ 300 million loans from China; to instruct the Ministry of Finance to advise the Government on negotiations with Chinese authorities to reach the above $ 300 million loan agreement to build the route.
It is noticed that the 144 km-long Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway, with a 4-lane scale, costs VND47,520 billion (equivalent to $ 2.16 billion) used to plan to built after 2030.
Information from Cao Bang province indicates that the province has set up a project to connect transport and enhance two-way cargo transport along the Chongqing - Guizhou - Baise route (Guangxi, China) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) - Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong - by sea to ASEAN countries and proposed to the Government for implementation in 2017-2020.
