HANOI, May 18 (Engineering Daily) -- The Prime Minister has agreed to supplement the Transport Development Plan of Ho Chi Minh City up to 2020 with a vision after 2020.
In particular, the Prime Minister has agreed to supplement a bridge to replace the Cat Lai ferry. This bridge shall be built in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City and Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province, crossing the Dong Nai River with a total length of about 4.5 km. This is the main urban road construction, speed of 80km / h; road cross section of 60m, ensuring 6 motor lanes and 2 mixed lanes; Cross section of bridge to match the route scale. The bridge will be built from 2017 to 2020.
At the same time, the Prime Minister has also agreed to supplement the Can Gio Bridge to replace the Binh Khanh ferry. The bridge shall be built in Nha Be district and Can Gio district, crossing Soai Rap River. Total length of bridge and approach roadway is about 7.3 km. This is a secondary urban backbone, speed of 60km / h. The road cross section of 40m ensures 4 motor lanes and 2 mixed lanes; Cross section of bridge to match the route scale. The bridge will be implemented from 2017 to 2020.
The Prime Minister has also agreed that from 2017 to 2020, construction of a parallel road with National Highway 50 from Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City to Can Giuoc District, Long An Province with the route length of 8.6 km. This is the main urban road type, speed of 80km / h. The road cross section is of 40m to ensure 6 motorized lanes; The cross-section of the bridge on the route is suitable for the road scale.
The Prime Minister has asked the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to update the above-mentioned works in the relevant plans and implement the investment in accordance with the provisions of law.
