HANOI, June 27 (Engineering Daily) -- The Ministry of Planning and Investment has just granted the investment registration certificate for Nam Dinh First Power Company Limited (Head Office in Singapore) to implement the Nam Dinh 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant Project.
Accordingly, the project is implemented on the basis of the contract of Build - Operate - Transfer (BOT) signed with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The proposed location of the project is in Hai Chau and Hai Ninh communes, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province on the land area of about 242.71 hectares.
The Nam Dinh 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant is constructed and operated under the design of a coal-fired thermal power plant with a capacity of 1,109.4 MW (consisting of two units with a capacity of 554.7 MW each).
Total investment capital of the project is over $ 2.0 billion (excluding VAT); of which, equity is $ 518 million; the rest is a loan of more than $ 1.5 billion.
