HANOI, May 28 (Engineering Daily) -- The Prime Minister has approved the proposal of the Hanoi People's Committee to build the Me So Bridge crossing the Red River and two approach roads in the form of BOT.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister has agreed to hand over Hanoi People's Committee as the competent state authority for the project to build Me So Bridge and the two approach roads under the BOT as stipulated in Clause 3 Article 2 of Decision No 1287 / QD-TTg dated 29 July 2011 of the Prime Minister.
The Hanoi People's Committee shall coordinate with the Ministry of Transport, Hung Yen People's Committee and relevant agencies to organize the implementation of the above project in accordance with the relevant master plans and current regulations. .
The project will have a total investment of nearly VND 4,900 billion with a payback period of 22 years and 11 months.
Accordingly, this project has a length of about 13.8 km and the width (phase 1) of 17 m. The starting point of the project is the intersection of National Highway 1A with Ring Road 4, Thuong Tin district, Hanoi.
The end point of the project is the intersection of Ha Noi-Hai Phong expressway with Ring Road 4, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province. Location of the toll booth is at the East Me So Bridge in Van Giang district, Hung Yen.
Previously, Hanoi has submitted to the Government and the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Planning and Investment to propose this project. And, this is a proposed project implemented by Joint Venture of Phuong Thanh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company and Nguyen Minh Company.
The project will connect the Phap Van-Cau Gie expressway to Ha Noi-Hai Phong expressway with the purpose of dividing traffic, reducing vehicle to the inner city and reducing traffic jams.
