(Engineering Daily) Nguyen Anh Duong = Stepping up to expand wind power plants in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese government said Tuesday that a ground-breaking ceremony was held to build a Hiep Thanh wind farm.
The project involves installing 18 turbines on a 27 million㎡ site located in the Mekong Delta to generate 78㎿ of electricity.
Twenty percent of the costs for the project are said to be covered by the JSC and the rest by the Dutch Climate Investment Agency and Korea`s Samtan International.
The Tran Anh Dung Provincial People's Committee expects that after 2021, when the construction of the power plant is completed, it will generate 300 million kWh of electricity annually to help the industrial growth in the relevant region.
